Jeremiah 20:9 says, “His word burns in my heart like a fire. It’s like a fire in my bones! I am worn out trying to hold it in! I can’t do it!” Let us be as Embers for our Lord and Savior. Embers are consumed with fire and burnt so completely that they can be so easily blown by the wind. Wherever an ember lands, it starts a fire. Embers are often more of a problem in a forest fire than the forest fire itself, because they cause fire to scatter and spread quickly. I believe God is calling us to be His Holy embers~ those who are so thoroughly consumed and on fire for Him that we will be led by the Wind of the Holy Spirit and ignite fires wherever they land. Wherever the Holy Spirit leads and plants us, we are igniting fires. ~Rachel Shafer
